[July 21, 2009] NYCLIX selects MedPlus's Centergy suite of HIE solutions Tweet Jul 21, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- MedPlus, the healthcare information technology subsidiary of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, announced that New York Clinical Information Exchange is now sharing patient data electronically among 10 unaffiliated healthcare organizations across New York City using the company's Centergy suite of integrated health information exchange solutions. MedPlus has said that New York Clinical Information Exchange (NYCLIX) partner hospitals and physicians now have the opportunity to enhance the quality, safety and efficiency of patient care by accessing in real time clinical information using a patient-based record that is accessible through interoperable hospital network and electronic health record technologies. MedPlus has also said that Centergy allows providers and institutions to connect to an existing network of solutions, and share clinical information in real-time across health information exchanges (HIE) of any size or geographical scope.
