BRIEF: Don't Miss: Nerdapalooza July 10-12Jul 10, 2009 (The Orlando Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- WHAT: With video game designers getting paid like pro athletes and a comic book collector in the White House, there's no use fighting it: Nerds literally rule. This year's Nerdapalooza music festival is surfing the wave of goodwill like Paul Atreides on a sandworm, with MC's Chris and Lars joining returning nerdcore rap sensation MC Frontalot, along with The Protomen, whose moody rock operas about the Mega Man video game series are so deeply geeky that it's amazing they've played anywhere outside their mom's basement (much less this year's Bonnaroo festival). Also check out the pre-party concert at A Comic Shop on Friday, featuring free beer and pizza with performances by Schaffer the Darklord and others.
