Aviel Electronics Receives Initial $268,000 Order

SAN DIEGO --(Business Wire)-- Aviel Electronics, a division of RF INDUSTRIES LTD. (NASDAQ:RFIL), today announced it has been awarded an initial $268,000 production order for a custom designed SMB connector from Zargo Technologies, a leading Canadian Electro-Mechanical Distributor. The initial order of 10,000 connectors is expected to be substantially delivered in RFI's (News - Alert) current fiscal year ending October 31, 2009.

"During RFI's recent second quarter ended April 30, 2009, Aviel worked closely with Zargo, investing significant manpower and resources to meet specifications for this custom designed RF coaxial connector. We believe our work to date, the award of this initial contract and opportunity to compete for additional follow-on orders have the potential to significantly improve Aviel's profitability in the coming year," said Bob Macias Aviel's General Manager.

"Our advanced design SMB connector is a hermetically sealed, 'Push Lock' style IP68 (International Protection Rating) RF coaxial connector which will be used for an undisclosed, high-performance aerospace application," added Denver Carnes, Aviel's Director.
