BRIEF: Pelephone gains major Cellcom customer: The contract is estimated to be worth NIS 50 million over two years.

Jul 06, 2009 (Globes - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Bezeq Israel Telecommunications Company Ltd. (TASE:BZEQ) unit Pelephone Communications Ltd. has gained a major new customer. Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd., which until now has received cellular services from Cellcom Israel Ltd. (NYSE:CEL; TASE:CEL) has moved over to Pelephone.

Rafael's 5,000 employees together with their families mean that Pelephone has gained 15,000 new subscribers. The contract is estimated to be worth NIS 50 million over two years.

Pelephone won a tender, which was open to Israel's three major mobile operators. For security reasons Rafael's employees and their families will receive handsets that do not have cameras or Internet capabilities.
