Telerik announces new product release

(Corporate IT Update Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Telerik has announced the Q2 2009 release of its RadControls UI components, Reporting, ORM and Web Testing solutions.

The company, a vendor of development tools and user interface components for .NET, said the enhanced Telerik Premium Collection for .NET is to feature a 3D Chart for Silverlight; a full-featured Silverlight Scheduler; and Visual Style Builder, enabling easy customisation of skins for Telerik's RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX.

The new volume also introduces WebAii Testing Framework, a product by software testing tools provider ArtOfTest, a free Web Testing solution for automating AJAX- and Silverlight-powered Rich Internet Applications.

The company's 3D Chart for Silverlight is expected to help developers create visualisations of large volumes of data, while the new Scheduler for Silverlight will enable developers to add Outlook-style scheduling functionality to their web applications.

Most of Telerik's Silverlight components have identical Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) counterparts, allowing developers to re-use skills and code between the two platforms. Both the Silverlight and WPF suites are derived from the same code base and share the same application programming interface (API), the company said.

The price of the Telerik Premium Collection for .NET (including all suites, Reporting and OpenAccess ORM) is USD1,299 per developer seat. The license comes with priority support, full C# source code, redistribution rights and free updates for the latest products for one year.
