The content of this report is based on primary data obtained through interviews with small- and medium-sized TFT-LCD panel makers. This report finds that the sequential decline of Taiwanese small- and medium-sized TFT-LCD panel shipment volume in the first quarter of 2009 was smaller than in the same period of previous years, as shipment in the fourth quarter of 2008 had lacked the traditional peak-season effect. Furthermore, shipment differences between the first and second half of the year are expected to become smaller in 2009, with the shipment ratio between the first and second half expected to be close to 1:1.
