[July 03, 2009] OVH to acquire STRATO from freenet Tweet Jul 03, 2009 (Datamonitor Financial Deals Tracker via COMTEX) -- OVH, a French provider of web hosting services, is planning to acquire STRATO AG, a web hosting service provider, from freenet AG, a provider of internet and telecommunication services. Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg analysts have estimated the market value of STRATO to be around $336 million. STRATO is a subsidiary of freenet and both these companies are based in Germany. Reportedly, United Internet AG has also shown interest to acquire STRATO.
