Suspect in festival shooting accused of pulling gun on victim againJun 26, 2009 (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A 17-year-old boy charged with shooting a man at the Locust Street Festival threatened the victim with a gun within two and a half hours of being bailed out of jail, according to a new criminal complaint. Edgar Rosa Jr. was back in the Milwaukee County Jail on Friday, charged with felony intimidation of a witness and felony bail jumping. This time, however, his cash bail is set at $100,000. He had been in the jail after the June 14 festival shooting, in which he was charged with aggravated battery intending great bodily harm and second degree recklessly endangering safety. His bail in that case was set at $40,000 but he was released after Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Kevin E. Martens granted a request from Rosa's attorney, Michael F. Hart, and Assistant District Attorney Adam Y. Gerol to reduce the bail to $10,000, according to online state court records. According to a criminal complaint in that case, Rosa and a 38-year-old man whom he knew got into an argument after encountering each other at the festival. Rosa pulled out a .45 caliber handgun and the victim was wounded in the hand when he grabbed the gun. Rosa then stepped back and shot the victim in the groin, according to the complaint. According to the criminal complaint detailing the latest charges, Rosa posted the reduced bail and was released from the Milwaukee County Jail at 4:36 a.m. Tuesday. At 6:50 a.m. the shooting victim was at a bus stop in the 3100 block of N. Holton St. with his wife and 4-year-old child when a passing car slowed down and a passenger, identified as Rosa, pulled out a gun. Rosa then pointed the gun in the air and mouthed the words, "I got you," before the car pulled away. The shooting victim then went to a nearby police station and reported the incident, according to the complaint.
