Geithner will visit SOME (So Others Might Eat) and serve lunch to the local area's hungry and homeless at 11:30am on Thursday, June 25th 2009. A recipient of $4.2 million in investments through a Washington, DC area Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), SOME is an example of the important role CDFIs play in rebuilding communities, creating jobs and growing our economy. The $4.2 million has financed the acquisition of buildings to provide permanent housing for adults at risk of being homeless and persons with special needs. WHO: Treasury Secretary Timothy F.
