Alion Awarded $84.7 M Task Order to Support Naval Sea Systems IT Management

AlionScienceandTechnology,anemployee-ownedtechnologysolutionsprovider,hasbeenawardedan$84.7milliontaskordertosupporttheNavalSeaSystems(NAVSEA)CommandInformationOfficer(CIO)byconsolidatingandenhancingkeyITsystems,includingtheNAVSEAIntranet.
TheAlionteamwillsupportandmanagetheNAVSEALegacyapplicationsandoperationsastheytransitionintotheNavy-MarineCorpsIntranet(NMCI)programortheNavyEnterpriseResourcePlanningTool.TheteamwillalsoassistNAVSEAindefiningrequirementsanddesignstandardsforitsfollow-onsystem,theNextGenerationEnterpriseNetwork(NGEN).
Inaddition,NAVSEAisconsolidatingalloftheirexternalWebsitesandmigratingtosingle-pointhostingwhiletheinternalsitesaremigratedtoaMicrosoft®SharePoint-basedsystem.AlionisleadingtheeffortandconsolidatingthesitesunderaninformationportalcalledI-NavSea.
