May 12, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- BridgeWave Communications, a supplier of gigabit wireless solutions, announced that it has attained ISO 9001:2008 by BSI Management Systems, a provider of assessment, certification and training services in all critical areas of management disciplines.

According to company officials, this is an extension of BridgeWave's previous certification.

BridgeWave noted that the ISO 9001:2008 designation was obtained after an an audit of operations, management, and quality systems. ISO 9001:2008 is an international quality management standard developed for companies to demonstrate its ability to provide product that meets statutory and regulatory requirements, and demonstrates the organization's ability to implement the planned management system.

The company said it achieved its original ISO 9001:2000 certification in July 2001, and has since maintained its certification by participating in bi-annual audits, complying with the strict requirements of quality standards. In December 2008, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) amended its requirements with the release of ISO9001:2008.

"All of our employees understand the importance of achieving and continually maintaining our ISO 9001 certification," said Art Stein, COO at BridgeWave. "We see it as a further demonstration of our commitment to developing quality products and services for our valued customers." ((Comments on this story may be sent to [email protected]))
