Fujitsu launches network services for the cloud

Apr 22, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Fujitsu has launched in Japan network services for cloud computing environments to enable remote users to connect to internal corporate networks and use internal computing systems.

It said the FENICS II Universal Connect services offer user authentication, visualize access audit trails, and support various terminal types. The services are compatible with Mobile WiMAX, PHS services, unified communications, video distribution, and SaaS applications.

In February Fujitsu reported a net loss of JPY 40.75bn ($447m) for the third quarter 2008 on revenue down 19% at JPY 1,053bn ($11.58bn).
