[March 30, 2009] International SOS Ltd switches to Exagrid backup solution Tweet (Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ExaGrid Systems Inc, a specialist in data backup solutions, announced on 30 March that International SOS UK (I-SOS), a local division of a healthcare, security services and outsourced customer care provider, has chosen the ExaGrid system to improve its backup solution. I-SOS has switched from its previous tape-based backup system to the ExaGrid disk-based system to achieve faster backups and restores using a two site ExaGris system, which includes data deduplications and data compression. The solution stores on changes to data between backups, reducing storage requirements by a factor of up to 50:1. No financial details of the deal with ExaGrid were disclosed.
