[March 20, 2009] SunView introduces ChangeGear 4.0 Tweet (Worldwide Computer Products News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) SunView Software, a provider of enterprise IT software, unveiled on Thursday (19 March) the newest version of its integrated IT Service Management software. The company said that the new release expands the enterprise feature set across all modules, including Service Desk, Change Management, Release Management and Configuration Management (CMDB). ChangeGear 4.0 enables IT organizations to align and adapt their IT processes, meeting the needs of their organisation. IT organisations can now customise forms, workflow processes and team security to better support their IT services. The new feature list includes the following enhancements: iCenter, which provides IT staff visibility into service operations by delivering real-time metrics, alerts and KPIs; workflow editor, enabling the customisation of workflow; enhanced Business Policy Automation (BPA); team support and security, enabling users to be assigned to team(s) for the purpose of automating assignments and approvals; template support, allowing IT staff to create and use templates to accelerate ticket resolution; system view management, enabling personalisation of system settings and configuration for IT staff; as well as enhanced network discovery, with support for the discovery of AIX, HP-UX, Solaris and virtual machines.
