'T-Systems CEO slams Windows Mobile, calls Android the future'
(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
The CEO of Deutsche Telekom's large businesses division T-Systems has
criticised Windows Mobile and called its competitor Android from Google
as the future mobile phone operating system standard, according to
German news reports citing CEO Reinhard Clemens during a company
meeting at this year's Cebit. He said that Android is the first OS that
enables develop software for all mobile phones without the need for
additional changes per specific handset. Clemens also said that
T-Systems revenues are expected to grow by 3 percent during this year,
while the EBIT margin is expected to grow to between 5 and 10 percent
until 2011. At the same time, Clemens sees a trend that companies are
not investing in IT projects due to the economic downturn, while IT
outsourcing is booming as companies expect massive costs reduction from
that.
