YELL: Yell.com mobile now available on 3 UK handsets; Deal sees Yell local business listings service available on mobiles out-of-the box


(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) RDATE:02032009 Yell and mobile operator 3 UK today announce an agreement which will see Yell.com mobile pre-installed on 3 handsets. New 3 handsets will now include a pre-loaded icon link, allowing 3's customers to access Yell.com mobile at the touch of a button.



Yell.com mobile will appear in the applications folder of compatible mobile phones sold by 3 in the UK, allowing consumers to access Yell.com's local business information easily and quickly, from their handset. Key features include: -- The ability to locate any address in the UK by entering a place name, a street name or postcode -- The ability to share details of any of the 2.3 million businesses available on Yell.com with their contacts, or save directly to the contact list on their handset for future reference -- The ability to view businesses on a map and use turn by turn directions 3 customers also have the opportunity to download Yell's award winning* service, Yell.com mobile maps - which allows walking or driving directions to any address to be displayed directly on a detailed map.

Both services are part of Yell's suite of free-to-use** mobile products and are also compatible with the majority of older 3 handsets.
