DeviceAnywhere announces partnership with Motorola

(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
DeviceAnywhere, a provider of end-to-end mobile application development
solutions, announced on Wednesday (11 February) its partnership with
Motorola (NYSE:MOT), a mobile and broadband communications company, to
launch of the new Motorola Virtual Developer Lab, a remote
Internet-based testing service designed to reduce the time and
resources required to develop, test, monitor and deploy applications
and content for Motorola handsets.

The company said that the Motorola Virtual Developer Lab is the handset
manufacturer's latest step in providing services and tools to its
MOTODEV mobile application and content developer community. Through the
Virtual Developer Lab powered by DeviceAnywhere, the community members
now have instant remote access to 40 (and growing) mobile handsets in
the US, Europe, Taiwan, India and Brazil using a desktop interface
available via the Internet.

DeviceAnywhere is an on-line service that provides access to real
mobile handsets that are connected to live networks. The devices are
accessible remotely over the Internet, allowing members of the
community to meet all development, porting, testing and monitoring
needs without acquiring a physical device. The service employs real
handsets, which means that anything that a user can do with a device in
their hand, they can do with the handsets in DeviceAnywhere, including
pressing device buttons, tapping on touch screens,
connecting/disconnecting the battery, viewing the LCD, listening to
ringers and speakers and opening/closing a handset.

To accommodate Motorola's global MOTODEV community, the Virtual
Developer Lab will feature Motorola devices from every major European
operator, as well as devices from the US, Brazil and India. To sign-up
for the service, users need to log onto http://www.deviceanywhere.com,
register for a DeviceAnywhere account and add the Motorola VDL package.
