Vimicro Taps into Video Inspection Chip Market

Vimicro, a top-ranking multimedia chip maker in China, has sold over 100 million mobile phone multimedia chips globally. It represents another big step for the company. By far its products have been widely used by PC and other digital devices makers.
Vimicro has lately set up the security control product department, expanding its footprints to the video inspection chip market.
Such move of Vimicro means it has started to tap into the new territory after it made a hit in the multimedia chip sector. Its multimedia chips have been widely accepted by mobile phone cameras and PC cameras makers.
The chairman notes that the company will try to be a standard setter in the future to move up the value chain.
On top of that, Vimicro will be in pursuit of domestic listing in the stock market in China in the coming three to five years.
During the past few years, Vimicro has gained 1,500 international patents and broke up the monopoly of foreign brands.
