'Musicload to offer 95% of songs with DRM from 1 April'

(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Deutsche Telekom's online music download portal Musicload will start
offering more than 95 percent of its song portfolio without DRM from 1
April of this year, according to German press agency Dpa citing a
spokesman from Musicload. This follows the announcement of Apple on 7
January that it will provide DRM-free songs in its music download store
iTunes. Both moves are welcomed by the German federal music industry
association. Musicload currently has 6.5 million songs in its portfolio

of which 3 million are already offered without DRM.
