Jan 08, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Atlantic Metro Communications, a managed Internet Service Provider (ISP) offering colocation, metro transport, dark fiber, IP bandwidth, managed hosting & voice solutions, and Rainbow Broadband, a provider of broadband connectivity to the New York business community, announced that they have partnered to provide New York City businesses a fully-meshed, diverse and redundant business-class broadband service.
By collaborating to offer New York City businesses broadband connectivity services, the companies said that Atlantic Metro Communications' network enables Rainbow Broadband to offer high-bandwidth services to what it said are traditionally low-speed buildings currently relying on traditional incumbent network solutions. In addition, Rainbow Broadband's WiMAX network enables efficient last-mile connectivity, complimenting Atlantic Metro's New York City metro Ethernet network. Together, the companies provide a fully meshed, dual-path, redundant network solution that leverages the latest terrestrial and wireless networking technology.
"Together with Atlantic Metro, our solution solves some of the most complex networking requirements faced by New York City's commercial building owners and operators," said Russ Hamm, Founder and President of Rainbow Broadband. "Today, more businesses require and rely on high-bandwidth Internet connections, and now commercial building managers have a reliable, easy to provision, high-technology solution that will more than meet businesses growing Internet connectivity requirements in the market."
"Rainbow Broadband's unique WiMAX solution, using dedicated microwave antennas to deliver last mile network solutions, is the ideal partner for Atlantic Metro's terrestrial-based Ethernet network," added Stephen Klenert, CEO of Atlantic Metro Communications. "Business operators now have a completely redundant and fully-diverse network solution that leverages the latest communication technology underground and in the sky."
