ActiveVideo Networks Partners with CE Firms to Unveil Web-Infused Television Capabilities at CES(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) In collaboration with a variety of semiconductor, New Media and CE companies, ActiveVideo said it will demonstrate the ability of the ActiveVideo platform to bring Web content and interactivity to the television. ActiveVideo streams traditional programming and Web-based content to any digital set-top box or Web-connected CE device. In its CES suite (Renaissance 8) at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, ActiveVideo and complementary companies are expected to engage in four days (Jan. 8-11) of joint demonstrations that will include: -- The ability of the ActiveVideo Networks software client to be integrated into existing Integrated Circuit designs; -- The ability of ActiveVideo to drive the development of Web-based applications that can increase the functionality and value of CE devices; and -- The ability of ActiveVideo to create a media-friendly environment in which consumers can navigate from interactive portals to a full range of streamed content.
