In collaboration with a variety of semiconductor, New Media and CE
companies, ActiveVideo said it will demonstrate the ability of the
ActiveVideo platform to bring Web content and interactivity to the
television.

ActiveVideo streams traditional programming and Web-based content to
any digital set-top box or Web-connected CE device.

In its CES suite (Renaissance 8) at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel,
ActiveVideo and complementary companies are expected to engage in four
days (Jan. 8-11) of joint demonstrations that will include:

-- The ability of the ActiveVideo Networks software client to be
integrated into existing Integrated Circuit designs;

-- The ability of ActiveVideo to drive the development of Web-based
applications that can increase the functionality and value of CE
devices; and

-- The ability of ActiveVideo to create a media-friendly environment in
which consumers can navigate from interactive portals to a full range
of streamed content.

"For Web-infused television to succeed on a macro level, it needs to be
as accessible to consumers as the television programming they already

enjoy," said Jeff Miller, president and CEO of ActiveVideo Networks.
"ActiveVideo creates a Web-infused television environment that
increases the value of CE devices by eliminating the need to purchase a
specific Web-to-TV device and integrate it into the home network and
in-house entertainment system."

ActiveVideo Networks, formerly ICTV, provides programming and
technology that infuse television with Web content and interactivity.
Based on standard Web authoring and delivery technologies, the
company's ActiveVideo Distribution Network enables expanded
programming, navigation and advertising possibilities, allowing viewers
to define and share TV experiences.
