BTRC cancels ISP license for using VoIP illegally

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on Tuesday cancelled the license of Maisha Technologies Ltd for its involvement in illegal call termination using the VoIP technology.

According to a BTRC press release, the telecommunication watchdogs decided to take the action as reply of Maisha Technologies Ltd against the show-cause notice, issued by BTRC, was not satisfactory.



BTRC said that it is actively considering the cancellation of a number of ISP licenses for their involvement in the illegal call termination.
