BTRC cancels ISP license for using VoIP illegallyDhaka, Dec 23, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) on Tuesday cancelled the license of Maisha Technologies Ltd for its involvement in illegal call termination using the VoIP technology. According to a BTRC press release, the telecommunication watchdogs decided to take the action as reply of Maisha Technologies Ltd against the show-cause notice, issued by BTRC, was not satisfactory. BTRC said that it is actively considering the cancellation of a number of ISP licenses for their involvement in the illegal call termination. |
