'Vodafone UK launches IOU credit service for pre-paid users'(DMeurope Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Vodafone UK has announced the launch of the Vodafone IOU out-of-credit service for pay as you go customers. This will allow them to use their phone even they cannot top up their credit. They can set up the IOU service by texting IOU to 468 or by calling 468 from their phones. Once they have added the service to their account, they will receive an extra GBP 2 of calling credit to use until their next top-up. From then on, they will always have the ability to borrow GBP 2 of IOU credit, which can be used for voice, text or data services, including music track downloads and internet browsing. The value of any IOU credit used will be deducted from their next top-up, along with a service charge of GBP 0.30. The IOU service is available to all pay as you go customers who have been with Vodafone for over 30 days and have topped up by at least GBP 5.
