Dormer Tools: Dormer Tools to make Autosport debut(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) RDATE:11122008 South Yorkshire-based engineering giants, Dormer Tools, are set to showcase one of their newest and most innovative products at an internationally acclaimed exhibition. Dormer Tools will be exhibiting at the Autosport International exhibition next month (January) and plan to use the opportunity as a platform to demonstrate their pioneering Solid Carbide Drill. Produced exclusively for the automotive and aerospace market, the drill has been specifically designed to work with composite materials such as carbon fibre and cuts the risk of delamination - resulting in more efficient and safe end-results. The drill also has cost-cutting capabilities as it can be used for both dry and wet machining, reducing the amount of lubrication needed. Autosport International, which will be held at the NEC arena in Birmingham, on the 8-11 January 2009, sees some of the biggest names in the motorsport industry come together to preview new developments and pioneering technologies. David Limb, Marketing Assistant at Dormer said: "This is the first time we have taken part in the Autosport International and it's a fantastic opportunity, we can't wait. "Dormer Tools have been heavily involved in the motorsport industry for years, particularly with supplying tools to Formula 1. But the exhibition in January gives us the chance to really increase our presence in the market and give people a preview of our revolutionary new composite drill." Dormer Tools have recently relocated to the Advanced Manufacturing Park (AMP) on the boundary between Sheffield and Rotherham. Their new centre at the AMP includes a state-of-the-art training facility and a major research and development hub which will see Dormer push back the boundaries of tool design even further. Autosport International is now in its 19th year and with more than 850 exhibitors, it is widely regarded as the showcase event for the UKand European motorsport industry.
