Aeris to Bolster Network Intelligence for American Trash Management

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Aeris Communications, a wireless communications service provider
dedicated exclusively to the Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and telematics
marketplace across North America, announced a partnership with American
Trash Management (ATM) in which ATM's Wireless SmartTrash System is
certified on the Aeris network.

According to the company, the SmartTrash System time-stamps, records
and analyzes activity on trash compactors and wirelessly transmits
vital data such as energy utilization, directional valve shifts, safety
door switches and unit logistics to the ATM data center. By selecting
the Aeris network, SmartTrash benefits from pre-activation service at
the factory and lower operating costs via improved network intelligence
and notifications on unusual device activity.

"One of the best things about Aeris is that it functions as its own
wireless carrier," said Scott Brown, president of ATM. "Unlike
resellers who do not have visibility into the networks their customers
use, Aeris has direct connectivity and can therefore 'see' devices in
the field to assess and regulate performance. This is an exceptional
support model that will allow us to scale our operations without adding

additional personnel costs."

"SmartTrash offers a state-of-the art trash management solution that is
environmentally responsible, reduces hauling and labor costs and
increases overall efficiency in operations," said Mark Cratsenburg,
vice president of sales of Aeris. "The system is a natural fit for the
Aeris network, especially as it showcases our depth of coverage, online
management tools and commitment to customer support."
