"Second Life is fundamentally changing the way people work, play and socialize. One of our key goals is to make Second Life more accessible to more people by making it easier to use, more intuitive, more joyful. Howard works on that very challenging edge where technology meets user experience and is ideally suited for the task at hand. He is a rare talent and we are excited that he chose to join Linden Lab."

Prior to Pixar, Look was a member of the founding team at TiVo Inc. and served as Vice President of Application Software and User Experience, playing a key role in defining TiVo's functionality and user experience. Previously, Look was Director of Applied Engineering at Silicon Graphics, where he led the team that created the "O2 Out of Box Experience," the world's first Virtual Reality Modeling Language-based (VRML) 3D workstation setup environment. He also served as an engineer on the Inventor team, which later became the foundation for VRML.

Look received his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
