Globaltel Media to Launch App That Will Harness Power of 4.8 Billion Wireless and Internet Users

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Globaltel Media, Inc. (GTM) is poised to bring together the two most revolutionary communications technologies ever invented -- the Internet and the mobile wireless cellular phone -- when it unveils its latest wireless solution during the 2009 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Worldwide, there are 3.3 billion mobile phone users and 1.5 billion Internet users and GTM, using its patented technology, will bridge the gap between these communication devices.

This long-awaited "killer app" that connects the on-line community to the world of mobile cell phone users using existing mobile messaging technology will be introduced at a press conference during CES in January, according to Robert Sanchez, president and CEO of GTM. The press conference will be held at Booth 75037 in the Sands Convention Center January 8.

"What people want today is to use what they have -- not what people think they should have," said Sanchez. "This means something that works on your cell phone today without any changes in cost or habit whatsoever. The solution we have soft launched with a few key partners needs no new cell phone, no cell phone Internet connection, no new phone software, no special wireless carrier and works on any and every mobile cellular technology today. And that's exactly what we are giving 4.8 billion people."

While the name of the soon-to-be-launched application has yet to be released, GTM has confirmed it is a consumer software product that seamlessly connects Internet users to mobile cellular phone users through text messaging which GTM has patents on. Unlike other text message platforms, GTM's application works to any U.S. mobile wireless cellular device on any network, with no special hardware or software needed and no contracts. Normal text messaging rates apply to the cell phone user, but there is no cost to the PC user who initiates the conversation.

To use the application, the PC consumer downloads the free widget that can be installed on any computer desktop with no registration required, enters a username, the name and phone number of the person they want to "chat" with, and within seconds can have a two-way "chat" with any cell phone in the U.S.
