IBM wins $130m Fluor contract extension

IBM has won a three-year $130m contract extension from US engineering and construction company Fluor to continue to provide IT outsourcing services to Fluor locations in 74 countries.
The deal extends an original contract signed in 2006 for IBM to provide helpdesk, data center and server, network management, deskside support, SAP hosting, IT security, and disaster recovery services.
Renie Craft, vice president of industrial sector at IBM Global Technology Services, said: "IBM has the industry and technology experience to truly understand what is required to support a global business as it expands. Our expertise and global delivery capabilities have helped build a solid relationship with Fluor and are pleased to continue supporting their business growth objectives."
