(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Blue Square Energy (BSE), a developer and manufacturer of silicon solar
cells, has named Stephen Costantino, Ph.D., Chief Technology and
Operating Officer.

In the role, Dr. Costantino will oversee the technical development of
the company's Bright Point line of silicon solar cells. He will also be
responsible for building BSE's manufacturing capability.

Both a technologist and business leader, Dr. Costantino has more than
20 years experience managing and building technology-based businesses,
with specialization in the energy, electronics, and specialty chemical
sectors. Prior to joining BSE, he was vice president of Technology
Commercialization Group at Ben Franklin Technology Partners, leading
the formation of the organization's Clean Technology initiative.

"Steve's energy experience will give Blue Square a significant
advantage in bringing our Bright Point solar cells to market," said
Joseph Babin, president and CEO of BSE. "And his expertise in starting
and growing clean tech companies will help us take this company to the
next level. We are proud to have him as a member of our team."

Dr. Costantino was previously the CTO/COO for Oxane Materials, Inc. of
Houston, Texas, a late-stage venture-backed company dedicated to
applying nano-particle technology solutions to enhance oil and natural
gas recovery and promote greater energy independence in North America.
In this capacity, he was instrumental in growing both the technological
and commercial viability of the company. Prior to his work at Oxane,
Dr. Costantino was General Manager, Advanced Capacitor Materials
Business, and Global Director, Research and Development for Cabot
Corp.'s Supermetals Division. Dr. Costantino earned both his Bachelor
of Science and Ph.D. degrees from Penn State University.

"I am excited to have found a company with the kind of vision and

innovation that Blue Square offers and I am particularly excited about
taking on a leadership position in the development and
commercialization of viable alternative energy," said Dr. Costantino.
"The scientists and engineers here have made tremendous strides in
developing a silicon solar cell that is affordable for business and
home owners. I look forward to taking Bright Point to the next level
and establishing a robust manufacturing program."

Dr. Costantino has served in advisory board roles to economic
development organizations promoting growth in Clean Technologies across
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, including the Pennsylvania Green
Growth Partnership, The Philadelphia Navy Yard Keystone Innovation
Zone, and the Chester County Economic Development Council's Smart
Energy Initiative. He is an author on numerous technical articles and
patents related to energy technologies and electronic materials. As an
undergraduate, Dr. Costantino played on the Penn State varsity football
team, and is a member of the Penn State Football Letterman's Club.
