[November 03, 2008] BRIEF: Odessa man killed Tweet Nov 03, 2008 (Odessa American - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A 36-year-old Odessa man was killed early Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident at Highway 385 and South Loop 338, a state trooper said. William Scott Anderson, the driver of a 2005 Chevrolet pickup, died after entering the path of a 2003 Freightliner semitrailer that was driving northbound on Highway 385, Department of Public Safety Trooper Hunter Lewis said. Anderson, who was traveling eastbound on South Loop 338, was pronounced dead at 2:35 a.m. at the scene by Ector County Medical Examiner Sondra Woolf. Carl Kappel of Cleveland, Texas, the 64-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer, was transported to Medical Center Hospital with minor cuts and bruises.
