(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Genband, a developer of IP infrastructure solutions, announced that its
plans to expand agreements with three telecommunications systems
integrator partners to support and distribute Genband IP gateway
product lines to carriers throughout the world.

Verscom Solutions, VoIP Logic and General Telecom, all business
partners of NextPoint Networks, have agreed to begin selling and
servicing existing Genband products following the Genband acquisition
of NextPoint Networks on September 16th.

"We are very pleased to be in a position to seamlessly expand the
existing supplier and service agreements NextPoint enjoyed with these
outstanding distribution partners to encompass Genband solutions," said
Pablo Gargiulo, President of Global Operations at Genband. "Today these
partners service hundreds of emerging carriers in strategic
international markets that will amplify and expand our reach. They
provide cutting-edge integration services and support, and we are very
enthusiastic about collaborating to assist operators in transforming
their networks with IP technologies and security solutions."

"As the market leader in IP gateway solutions, Genband has consistently
had a clear vision for transitioning telecom networks to IP," said
Kevin Alward, President and CEO, General Telecom. "The Genband
acquisition of NextPoint is a compelling milestone that expands their
valuable portfolio and anticipates the needs of their customers.
Genband's IP gateway products nicely round out our interconnectivity
offerings in addition to what we were already supporting with
NextPoint."

Gokce Bilyay, CEO of Verscom, noted that, "We've been impressed with
the seamless integration of GENBAND and NextPoint and look forward to
capitalizing on their newly combined strengths. The emerging market
opportunities across Europe and the Middle East are significant, and we
are pleased to now have an agreement to leverage GENBAND's broad
offering and leadership position in our target markets."
