Actuate and Webalo Offer Integrated Mobile Solution

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Actuate and Webalo, a company that transforms enterprise applications
and data to make them compatible with mobile devices, announced an
agreement in which Actuate will resell Webalo's "Mobile Dashboard" as
part of a mobile solution to deliver e.Spreadsheets and BIRT reports
directly to BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, Palm, Symbian, or Java-enabled
smartphones.

Actuate will sell the customized mobile product directly to its
customers.

No longer will e.Spreadsheet and BIRT report users be limited by
"office only" access, the companies noted. Actuate's mobile solution
with Webalo service will allow BIRT reports to be sent directly to
mobile devices. Additionally, the solution will provide users of
Actuate e.Spreadsheet with a simple wizard to configure their reports
for mobile devices. Actuate will embed Webalo's Mobile Dashboard into
its mobile solution, ensuring that customers can deliver up to date
content into the hands of mobile users.

"We've been pleased with our long association with Actuate," said
Webalo president and CEO, Peter Price. "Integrating our Mobile
Dashboard into their mobile solution offering will facilitate almost

ubiquitous delivery of high-value business intelligence to an ever
expanding universe of mobile devices."

"Webalo's Mobile Dashboard makes it possible to extend nearly any
enterprise application for mobile use," said Nobby Akiha, Actuate's
senior vice president of marketing. "Working with Webalo will enable us
to meet the corporate demand for increased productivity through
mobility. Offering Webalo directly to our customers meets this demand
most efficiently."
