(Telecomworldwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Catapult Communications Corporation (NasdaqGS: CATT), a designer,
developer, manufacturer, marketer and supporter of software-based test
systems for telecommunications industry, revealed on 25 September that
customers can verify femtocells on LTE, UMTS, CDMA2000 and WiMAX
networks over IP, SS7 and ATM transports, as femtocell has extensive
test capability on the DCT2000 test system.

The reach of the cellular network into homes and small offices
providing users quality voice and data coverage is extended by
femtocell. The Femto Forum reported recently that its members have
agreed to implement this key femtocell management protocol.

Femtocell access points and gateways which are also known as the Home
Node B and the Home Node B Gateway, can be verified by network
equipment manufacturers and service providers using the DCT2000 to
simulate core networks and generate voice, video and data traffic. The

DCT2000 supports the TR-069 CPE WAN Management Protocol for testing the
management interface to femtocell access points.

Catapult test systems have the requirements for different stages in the
product life cycle, test environments, and network technologies. The
company offers test packages for simulating femtocell access points,
user equipment, core networks, gateways and management servers. The
DCT2000 supports the integration of femtocells into new networks.
