Avaya Executive to Keynote Communications Developer Conference in September

NORWALK, Conn. --(Business Wire)-- Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R)) announced today that Lawrence Byrd, Director, Unified Communications Architecture for Avaya, has agreed to deliver a keynote address at its Communications Developer Conference, to be held from September 16-18, 2008 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles, California.

Lawrence was co-founder of Quintus Corporation in 1984 where he held executive positions in software development, marketing and strategy. Quintus was a leading provider of multimedia contact center software that was acquired by Avaya in 2001. Lawrence has a BA in Philosophy from Durham, England, was a research associate in the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, and now lives with his family in California.
