The service, available on American's Boeing 767-200 non-stop flights between New York and San Francisco, Los Angeles or Miami, will be available to passengers as a fee based service. It will provide passengers who have their own Wi-Fi enabled devices with access to an air-to-ground (ATG) broadband system, provided by Aircell, once the aircraft has climbed to an altitude of more than 10,000ft.
