Unify Corp. Appoints Director of Strategic Alliances(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Unify Corp., a global provider of application modernization software, announced the appointment of Jesse Bornfreund to the new position of director of strategic alliances. According to company officials, Bornfreund will play a role in growing Unify's Composer business by building and sustaining partnerships with global system integrator and reseller partners as well as be responsible for creating visibility for Composer throughout the Microsoft field sales community. Unify added that Bornfreund previously worked with Microsoft where he was most recently responsible for the recruitment and enablement of industry and vertical partners for the Microsoft SharePoint product group. He served as a strategy and sales resource in Microsoft's customer advocacy and technology team focused on competitive and customer engagements including managing the Notes Compete initiative. Additionally, Bornfreund previously worked as a corporate strategist for IBM and has a background in Lotus Notes. "The addition of Jesse to the team takes the Unify partnership with Microsoft to a new level," said Jim Bernardo, director of Customer Advocacy and Technology Management, Microsoft. "I'm looking forward to working with him as Unify aggressively expands its partner strategies going forward." Unify's CEO Todd Wille said, "Jesse's experience with Microsoft and partner enablement as well as his strong industry relationships will quickly increase the visibility of our Composer solution in the field.
