Avistar announces availability of Avistar C3 through Fontel

Avistar Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: AVSR), a provider of visual
communications solutions, announced on Wednesday (30 July) the
availability of Avistar C3 desktop and team videoconferencing through
Fontel Inc, a wholesale distributor of voice and data communications
products, and its US network of dealers and resellers.

The agreement is expected to allow Fontel's resellers to utilise a
standards-based video conferencing solution to enhance their customers'
business communication, improve operations and increase productivity
and performance. The Avistar C3 bandwidth management enables thousands
of users to access desktop videoconferencing, VoIP, collaboration
services and streaming media without requiring new network investment
or impairing network performance.

The partnership opens a new distribution channel for Avistar, and
offers Fontel customers a significant value-add to their current


technology investment, Avistar said.

The distributor agreement is understood to be an expansion of the two
companies' partnership that began earlier in 2008 with Fontel supplying
end-point device bundles (headsets, speakerphones, web cameras) for
Avistar's C3 software.
