TelePacific Communications Signs Pact with Allworx to Provide SIP
Network Connection to Customers' IP PBX
(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
TelePacific Communications, a provider of business telecommunications
solutions with headquarters in California, announced an extension to
its SIP based product line, SmartVoice.
TelePacific has been offering customers SIP based trunking services
since February 2007. The product extension to the SmartVoice services
will offer a direct SIP network connection directly to the customer's
IP PBX, the company said.
"SIP is quickly becoming the most popular protocol for managing IP
telephony calls, and TelePacific is proud to make this service
accessible to small and medium-sized businesses," said Dick Jalkut,
TelePacific's president and CEO. "Many experts anticipate SIP to become
the new standard protocol for VoIP traffic, and by making it simpler
and more affordable to implement, TelePacific is helping small and
medium-sized businesses become more competitive."
"SIP, a robust IP telephony call control protocol, requires that
service providers with SIP based services develop interoperability
practices specific to each type of IP PBX model," said David Zahn,
TelePacific's VP of marketing. "TelePacific performs extensive
interoperability testing in the lab and in the field before certifying
a specific IP PBX model. The Allworx team was very responsive and easy
to work with through the certification process."
