IPtimize Works with BroadSoft on Solution for Cable Service Providers

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
IPtimize, a broadband voice and data service provider, announced that
it will work with BroadSoft, a provider of VoIP application software,
to enable IPtimize to offer a suite of voice applications to its cable
system customers.

IPtimize said as a result of the collaboration, commercial and
residential end-users of smaller cable systems will gain the ability to
manage multiple types of communications, such as e-mail and voicemail,
as well as their wireless and wireline telephony features. IPtimize
will build its multimedia IP services around BroadSoft's BroadWorks
VoIP application platform.

"By teaming with BroadSoft, IPtimize's cable system customers can now
provide more advanced services that they've wanted to offer for a long
time but that haven't been economic or practical for them," said Ron
Pitcock, IPtimize's Chairman and CEO. "BroadSoft provides VoIP
applications to seven of the top 10 largest carriers worldwide and to
some of the largest cable multi-service operators. IPtimize can help
provide access to these services for smaller providers so that they too

can compete in the IP world."

BroadSoft's IMS-compliant BroadWorks platform provides a range of VoIP
applications, including Hosted Unified Communications, Mobile PBX,
Business Trunking and residential broadband services fully integrated
into a single VoIP application platform.
