IPtimize Teams with BroadSoft on Offering for Cable Service Providers

DENVER --(Business Wire)-- IPtimize, Inc. (Pink Sheets: IPZI)("IPtimize"), a broadband voice and data service provider, announced today that it will work with BroadSoft, Inc., the leading provider of VoIP application software, to enable IPtimize to offer a suite of advanced voice applications to its cable system customers.

As a result of the collaboration, commercial and residential end-users of smaller cable systems will gain the ability to manage multiple types of communications, such as e-mail and voicemail, as well as their wireless and wireline telephony features. IPtimize will build its multimedia IP services around BroadSoft's BroadWorks(R) VoIP application platform.

"By teaming with BroadSoft, IPtimize's cable system customers can now provide more advanced services that they've wanted to offer for a long time but that haven't been economic or practical for them," said Ron Pitcock, IPtimize's Chairman and CEO. "BroadSoft provides VoIP applications to seven of the top 10 largest carriers worldwide and to some of the largest cable multi-service operators. IPtimize can help provide access to these services for smaller providers so that they too can compete in the IP world."

As suburban and rural cable systems seek to offer business services, IPtimize's scalable and efficient platform is expected to attract commercial customers, regardless of market size or if an existing softswitch platform is in place.

"With IPtimize's offering, smaller multi-service operators don't have to be excluded from offering the latest and best technology," said Leslie Ferry, Vice President of Marketing for BroadSoft. "Our industry leading BroadWorks solutions help to level the playing field for them."
