BroadSoft Names Michael Rodis as VP of Human Resources(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) BroadSoft, a provider of VoIP application software, announced the appointment of Michael J. Rodis as vice president of human resources. For BroadSoft, Rodis will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including recruiting, training and organizational development. Rodis was previously with The Mills Corp., where he served as senior vice president of Human Resources for the 1,200-employee organization. There he developed employee policies, practices and programs, and was credited with restructuring the company's health and retirement programs. "Mike is an expert in employee relations and staffing," said Michael Tessler, president and CEO of BroadSoft. "His expertise will enhance our human resources department and elevate our international recruitment. This hire exemplifies BroadSoft's commitment to maintaining our global market leadership position and delivering the highest service quality to our customers." Rodis has held senior executive roles in the HR departments of high-growth companies in service, manufacturing, telecommunications and media industries, including Marriott, Frito-Lay, MCI and Discovery Communications. Rodis is also involved in fund raising for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through the Team in Training program. He develops Corporate Learning Partnerships with a number of educational institutions and has participated in the mentoring of individuals in their transition to full-time employment through Maryland's Department of Economic Development.
