Global Knowledge Offers New Cisco Unified Communications Project Management Training

(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
Global Knowledge, a provider of IT and Business training, announced the
launch of its new Cisco Unified Communications Project Management
training class, a five-day course where students learn to manage a
Unified Communications (UC) deployment from start to finish.

The course is designed for Cisco engineers and other technical
professionals responsible for VoIP implementation, including voice/data
integration, as well as network engineers, VoIP project managers, IT
managers, and VoIP project team members. Suggested prerequisites
include a basic understanding of project management processes or a
familiarity with Cisco lifecycle processes, the company noted.

Using best practices and processes for successful UC deployment, the
company added, students will learn to manage a real-world Cisco UC
project. They will follow the formal project management training
framework of initiation, planning, execution, control, and formal
closing, as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI), as well

as the Cisco Lifecycle Approach of prepare, plan, design, implement,
operate, and optimize (PPDIOO).

Global Knowledge said the course is available in the company's
classrooms or as a private, on-site course.
