V-enable Makes FreeMobile411 Available on Sprint
(Wireless News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge)
V-enable, a provider of local mobile search and directory assistance
services announced the availability of a full-featured downloadable
version of FreeMobile411 to Sprint customers.
The announcement comes on the heels of the launch of the FreeMobile411
mobile Internet site earlier this month.
V-enable said the fast voice-enabled application allows users to simply
speak what they are looking for by holding the talk key of their phone,
and see the results displayed on the screen within seconds.
Unlike most other directory assistance solutions, FreeMobile411 not
only gives access to 140 million residential and 14 million business
listings but it also allows users to browse by category, get maps,
driving directions, see other businesses nearby and more, all for free.
On top of all that, the user is also provided with the option to
connect to an operator, if still needed, at any time during the
process. FreeMobile411 is an ad-supported application that only
displays advertising when it is relevant to the user s search.
FreeMobile411 functions identically to V-enable s flagship product
Mobile411 which is available on deck with select carriers, such as
Alltel and MetroPCS. Now, with the release of the off deck JAVA
version, Sprint users can enjoy all the benefits of a complete local
search experience.
There are several mobile and voice based services that can help find
listings, get maps, driving directions, see what s nearby, but none of
the services bring it all together, with the touch of a live operator,"
said Craig Hagopian, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing
Officer of V-enable Inc.
With FreeMobile411 we are embracing the blending of man and machine to
complete the search experience. We look forward to being available on
even more carriers and handsets so all mobile consumers can experience
the most complete local search solution currently available."
