Independent Research Firm Cites Numara Software as a Leader and Strong Performer in the Service Desk Management Tool Market

TAMPA, Fla. --(Business Wire)-- Numara Software, Inc., a leader in service desk management solutions for IT professionals, today announced that it was among the select companies that Forrester Research invited to participate in The Forrester Wave(TM): Service Desk Management Tools, Q2 2008 (April 2008). According to the report, "Numara Track-It! is the most widely installed help desk product with more than 50,000 customers." Numara Software was the only vendor reviewed in the report that is dedicated solely to delivering service desk management solutions. The report cites Numara FootPrints as a "Leader" for solutions in the small enterprise market, which targets organizations with less than 2,500 employees and Numara Track-It! as a "Strong Performer". In addition, for solutions in the large enterprise market, which consists of organizations with more than 8,000 employees, Numara FootPrints was identified as a "Strong Performer."



Forrester evaluated 16 products from 13 vendors in the service desk management space, with the criteria that each product was on the minds of Forrester clients, actively marketing and selling service desk products, and was available on the market by November 1, 2007. As part of the evaluation requirements, each of the products considered was assessed within both the small and large enterprise markets.

Numara FootPrints got the highest rating for both "Strategy" and "Product Vision" in the Small Enterprise Services Desk Management market. According to Forrester, "Numara FootPrints' notable ease of implementation and use makes it a solid contender for organizations looking to step up the formality of their processes and controls without having to install a large and expensive suite of tools." The report also notes Numara FootPrints as one of the products with deep functionality for the service desk.



Numara Track-It! received the highest possible rating for "Geographic Presence" within in the Small Enterprise Service Desk Management market. According to the report, "Numara Track-It! is a self-contained environment with integrated PC discovery, inventory, software license management, and help desk functions that may be perfectly suited for an organization with fewer than 1,000 employees that is looking to add structure and tracking for what is probably and ad hoc process today. With more than 50,000 customers, Numara Track-It! clearly fills a niche that the other vendors don't."
