Aladdin introduces Aladdin eToken NG-FLASH 72K(Worldwide Computer Products News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Aladdin Knowledge Systems (Nasdaq:ALDN), a provider of Software DRM, USB-based authentication and enterprise secure content management solutions, announced on Monday (7 April) the general availability of the Aladdin eToken NG-FLASH 72K, which combines the features of a USB encrypted flash drive and an open Java Card technology with an advanced smartcard. According to the company, Aladdin eToken NG-FLASH 72K combines up to 4GB of encrypted storage and Flash memory, with smartcard authentication technology to provide a unified secure, portable solution. The product enables users to securely carry information, authenticate, develop and access files and applications from any computer. The solution allows users to carry their network, application, and web credentials together with their digital certificates and encryption keys on-board the secured smartcard chip within Aladdin's certified USB device. The company's eToken smartcards are now offered using the Java Card platform, providing enhanced security and customisation to Aladdin's USB-based smartcard for strong authentication, the company claims. In addition, an included Aladdin eToken Java software developer kit (SDK) enables users to create and load their own Java applets on board the token for custom applications and expanded functionality.
