The new LG enV (2) phone introduced by Verizon Wireless and LG(Telecomworldwire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Verizon Wireless, the owner and operator of a wireless voice and data network and a joint venture of Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE:VOD) (LSE: VOD), and LG Electronics MobileComm U.S.A. Inc (LG Mobile Phones), announced on Monday (31 March) that a new phone, enV(2) by LG will be available in April 2008. The companies said that the new enV(2), the successor to the LG enV phone, has a new slim design and is available in a black or maroon finish. The enV(2) supports V CAST Music and Video, VZ Navigator, has Bluetooth capabilities, dual speakers and a 2.0 megapixel camera. The phone has a spacious QWERTY keypad with large sized external keys and a 2.4-inch internal screen. The enV(2) by LG is also Mobile Web 2.0-capable and Get It Now capable. It has wireless Sync E-mail capability and allows Instant Messaging using AIM, WL Messenger, and Yahoo! The phone includes a video Player for WMV, MP4, 3GP, 3G2 formats and a music Player for .mp3, .wma, and unprotected .aac and .aac + files. The phone will be available online at http://www.verizonwireless.com and at over 2,400 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores across the US, including those at Circuit City. The enV(2) by LG will retail for USD129.99, after a USD50 rebate with a new two-year customer agreement.
