CipherOptics Rolls Out CEP10

(Wireless News Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)
CipherOptics announced the availability of the CipherEngine Enforcement
Point (CEP) 10Mbps product with the launch of the CEP10.

The company noted that the 10Mbps encryption point provides up to
20Mbps bi-directional IPSec encryption for network-wide CipherEngine
encryption solutions and point-to-point data protection applications.

"Enterprises are eating up more and more bandwidth by deploying
applications such as voice and video over IP out to their branch
offices. These same enterprises are realizing that this data, some of
it traversing multi-carrier networks, must be secured. CipherOptics'
10Meg encryption solution helps meet this need," said IDC Security
Analyst Charles Kolodgy. "With this CipherEngine-enabled 10Meg product,
CipherOptics rounds out its overall portfolio to provide customers with
a full set of scalable network-wide encryption capabilities with robust
key management and policy control. Additionally, the CipherEngine
solution enables companies to protect their data without impeding the
performance or operation of the network."

With a CipherEngine compatible 10Meg solution, CipherOptics customers
can protect their data down to branch/satellite offices with lower
speed DSL, T1 and 10Mbps connections. CipherEngine offers network-wide
security solution for any network, regardless of size, type, topology
or speed, all without having to change the underlying network
infrastructures; without negatively impacting network or application
performance; and, without increasing management or operational costs.

"The addition of the CEP10 product represents the next step in our
commitment to ensure that our customers can simply and affordably
protect data across their entire network," said Ron Willis, President
and CEO of CipherOptics. "Now with the ability to protect links from
DSL and T1 speeds up to 10Gbps, CipherEngine provides the highest
standard of data security and unprecedented scalability and flexibility
with regards to throughput, functionality and manageability."
