Denmarks's IPtronics A/S closes USD10m in funding

The Swedish venture capital firm Creandum Advisor AB said on Tuesday
(19 February) that IPtronics A/S, a leading supplier of silicon for
parallel optical applications closed more than USD10m in series B
funding.

Creandum and Sunstone Capital co-lead the investment round, the company
said.

Contributing to the investment was also the current investor, 10IPT10,
as well as members of the management team.

The investment will be used to accelerate global sales and product
development.

IPtronics is a fabless semiconductor company offering next generation
integrated circuits for Parallel Optical Interconnects. The company
operates from its headquarters in Roskilde, Denmark and has recently
established US operations through IPtronics Inc.

Creandum Advisor, headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, is an independent
venture capital firm investing in Nordic companies in the technology
sector. The company currently has some EUR120m under management.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.96 US dollars (USD).
One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 1.34 euros (EUR).
