Covergence Announces Interoperability with DIGITALK
MAYNARD, Mass., February 4, 2008 – Covergence (News - Alert)®, the leading provider of session border control solutions for the access edge, today announced completion of interoperability testing with UK-based DIGITALK (News - Alert), an independent developer of multiservice voice switching platforms for telecommunications service providers worldwide. The award-winning Covergence Session Manager now works with DIGITALK’S Media Application Server , a software-based Multiservice Platform (MSP) that enables service providers to manage delivery and billing of all network services.
In today’s technology environment, service providers need next generation networking equipment that offers a clear and cost-effective transition path between traditional voice services and IP-based (Internet Protocol) networks. Providers also need to ready their networks now for supporting the real-time services – video, voice, presence, IM and others – that users demand. Interoperability with the Covergence Session Manager presents DIGITALK customers with a proven solution for delivering these services securely and immediately.
