“GSA Pursues Litigation Involving Chase Home Mortgages”

(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 24, 2008 ) New York, NY - The law firm of Giskan, Solotaroff & Anderson, LLP continues to pursue litigation concerning the possible illegal conduct of JPMorgan Chase & Co. and JPMorgan Chase Bank (“Chase”) involving home mortgages. Consumers who obtained a home mortgage through Chase were charged a Post Closing or Post Closing Review Fee. The plaintiff in the class action lawsuit brought by Giskan, Solotaroff & Anderson, LLP has alleged that Chase failed to provide her and other consumers with any compensable service in exchange for her payment of the Post Closing Fee.

On August 6, 2007, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit sustained plaintiff’s claim that Chase’s alleged practice of charging the unearned Post Closing Fee violates the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act of 1974 and New York’s Consumer Protection laws.

If you were charged a Post Closing or Post Closing Review Fee by Chase in connection with a home mortgage loan or refinancing within the past five years, or if you otherwise have information concerning this action, please contact the following attorneys:
